The stay at home order has been lifted for Truckee, and while we still need to be careful about Covid, I am so excited that outdoor dining is back! Outdoor dining is a great way to support the local community during this difficult time. Many of the restaurants in Truckee have gone out of their way to make comfortable spaces for dining outdoors in the winter. Below is a list of my favorite places I’ve been hitting up lately.
1. Moody’s
Best for: Fine dining and craft cocktails
Outdoor setup: Gorgeous outdoor stage with ample heaters, covered roof, and walls.
Dog friendly: No
2. FiftyFifty Brewery
Best for: Burgers and craft beer
Outdoor setup: Newly added tent with ample heaters and a cozy atomosphere.
Dog friendly: Yes!
3. Drunken Monkey
Best for: Date night sushi
Outdoor setup: Newly added tent with ample heaters.
Dog friendly: Yes!
4. Alibi Brewery
Best for: Après beer and chili
Outdoor setup: Beer garden with a variety of tables and hanging heaters.
Dog friendly: No
5. Jax at the Tracks
Best for: Brunch
Outdoor setup: Tented patio and standing heaters
Dog friendly: Yes!
